Jeremy Holt has 40 years of experience in the nuts and spices business, having started his career as a commodity trader at Sucden (UK) Ltd (Sucres et Denrées). He established the Brazil nut industry in Bolivia in the late 1980’s and acted as adviser both to the US State Department and the Bolivian government on implementing food safety standards. He then moved to Brazil where he financed and managed brazil nut, pepper and cashew factories, and was part of the team that negotiated the acquisition of the Iracema cashew factory in Brazil from Kraft USA Inc, serving as president of the company for a number of years.

In 2016 he moved to Africa, managing the largest cashew processing factory in Ghana, and then to Côte d’Ivoire where today he is heavily involved in advising banks and government on industrializing the cashew processing sector. He is committed to helping the West African cashew producing nations add value to their raw materials by processing locally, and brings a wealth of knowledge in cashew processing, food safety practices, training, marketing and sales to the region.
