Bradford W. Blakeley is a real estate development professional who’s career has been multifaceted, he has worked on projects ranging from major hotels to residential real estate developments and retail outlets. Being the son of commercial real estate pioneer Gerald W. Blakeley Jr. gave Bradford the knowledge base that has guided him through out his career. He has a eye for value added projects and the ability to monetize them beyond what is naked to the eye.  He has made one of the focuses of his career to the preservation and restoration of historically significant buildings while bringing additional value and monetization to the projects. His family own and operated the Ritz-Carlton Corporation for over 28 years until it was sold to the one-time Waffle House king William B Johnson and Marriott Hotels CEO Bill Marriott. They also ran the nations leading real estate development firm Cabot, Cabot & Forbes which was sold to Marshall Field, some other notable projects include Balducci’s gourmet food supermarket, Hayday gourmet supermarket and various residential real estate developments ranging from 10-50,000 acre projects.
In the hotel arena he has been in the position of acquiring, renovating, managing and then disposing of a five hotel (825 key) Sheraton portfolio, a 249 key Sheraton Needham Inn, a 175 key Sheraton Plymouth hotel and the acquisition of the Inncorp Management Corporation which serviced dozens of major hotels throughout New England.
The Blakeley’s donated the land where the Reagan Library stands and have sat on the board of many Fortune 500 companies, charitable foundations and major universities.
Some restaurant projects include the Bay Club/The Bay Tower Room and the Oyster Club both in Boston, MA. A few commercial historical restoration projects have included 88 Broad Street, One Milk Street, Twenty Seven Milk Street, and 269 Boston Post Road as well as the Eastern Slope Inn. Bradford has overseen hundreds of thousands of acres of land for development into everything from hotels and office buildings to residential communities and luxury condos. He is currently the Director of Real Estate of FGA Partners.
